Client Overview:
Hillcroft, a forward-thinking company, sought to transform its office space into a hub of wellness and sustainability. Their vision was to create an environment that not only aligned with eco-friendly standards but also promoted the well-being of their employees through sensory experiences.
The Project
Hillcroft embarked on a redevelopment project to transform their office space into a highly sustainable Grade A workspace spanning 75,000 sq ft. The goal was to stimulate the senses and foster well-being among its occupants by incorporating flexible, contemporary designs and natural, tactile materials reminiscent of the surrounding parkland.

The Brief
Central to Hillcroft's vision was the integration of a natural scent throughout the office space, achieved through the use of pure essential oils. These oils were carefully selected and blended to enhance focus and uplift the mood of the office workers, contributing to a more productive and positive work environment.
Collaboration
Partnering with the facilities team, Henley Naturals worked to develop a range of products, including hand and body wash, lotions, and diffusers. These products were thoughtfully crafted using refillable glass bottles and infused with essential oils known for their focus-enhancing and uplifting properties, as follows:
Frankincense: Known for its grounding and stress-relieving properties, frankincense oil helps to promote a sense of calmness and mental clarity, allowing employees to focus more effectively on their tasks.
Black Spruce: With its refreshing and invigorating aroma, black spruce oil helps to combat fatigue and boost energy levels, making it ideal for promoting alertness and concentration in the workplace.
May Chang: Also known as litsea cubeba, May Chang oil has a citrusy, uplifting scent that helps to uplift the mood and reduce feelings of anxiety and tension, fostering a positive and harmonious work environment.
Grapefruit: Renowned for its refreshing and energising properties, grapefruit oil helps to stimulate the senses and promote mental clarity, making it an excellent choice for boosting focus and productivity throughout the day. The culmination of this collaboration resulted in the creation of "Free Flow," a product line that perfectly encapsulated the office's wellness and well-being goals while remaining environmentally sustainable.
Sustainable achievements
The introduction of the "Free Flow" product line was met with resounding success, aligning seamlessly with Hillcroft's sustainability objectives. By opting for monthly refills and utilising refillable glass bottles, the company achieved a significant reduction in plastic usage within the office space. Moreover, the products were well-received by employees, contributing to a more focused, uplifted, and harmonious work environment.
